The analog input terminal is designed to supply measuring transducers located in the field and to transmit analog measurement signals galvanically isolated to the bus system. The supply voltage of 24 V is fed through the power contacts for the field. The shield connection is directly routed to the mounting rail. The overload protection switches the measurement input to a high-resistance state at a current of approximately 25 mA. The high-resistance state is automatically reset when returning to the normal measurement range. This terminal provides the power supply for 2-wire measuring transducers that do not have their own power supply.
