Cold junction compensation is performed through comparative measurement to compensate for the error voltage at the terminal point in the range of 0 to 55 °C. A broken wire is indicated by a red error LED. The green LED indicates operational readiness and trouble-free communication with the bus coupler. The shield connection is directly routed to the mounting rail.
