The slim lens benefits from precisely manufactured metal components. At just 90 grammes in weight and 23 millimetres in length, it is similarly compact to the XF 27mm f/2.8. Eleven aperture blades create a soft, round bokeh, which emphasises the main subject in an atmospheric way. At the same time, even small objects at close range can be depicted in great detail. The minimum distance to the subject is only 20 centimetres, the lens remains pleasantly compact and easy to handle even at this close range. This makes it possible to take pictures even in small spaces - such as still lifes on a table. When focusing, the entire lens group moves, minimising aberrations and ensuring high image quality right up to the close-up range. A powerful DC motor ensures fast focussing.

The lens complements the award-winning camera system for its outstanding image quality and compact design, which is also renowned for Fujifilm's unrivalled colour reproduction. The XF150-600mmF5.6-8 offers the longest focal length of any lens currently available for the X series, with a zoom range from 150mm to 600mm (equivalent to 229-914mm focal length). With the tele-converters already available, the range can be extended to an additional 1200 mm (equivalent to 1828 mm KB).
