3. Yamaha A-S501

Impressive sound quality with a variety of functions and an elegant look. An integrated amplifier with the advantages of digital inputs.

Yamaha not only has more
than 125 years of tradition in instrument making, but also an excellent reputation for its hi-fi components. For the development of the A-S501, both the many years of experience and the technical expertise were fully utilized. Based on the concept of "Natural Sound", music is played back as it really sounds. In addition, the amplifier was built with the utmost care from the switching paths to the sound generation - even as an entry-level model, it has excellent sound quality and unique musicality.

The quality of the individual parts and their interaction are decisive for the sound of each component. That is why Yamaha only uses high-quality components that are carefully selected and tested. The A-S501 guarantees excellent signal reproduction even under demanding conditions - the power transformer and blocking capacitors are specially designed, the loudspeaker relays have a direct signal path, plus single-point earthing and extruded aluminium heat exchangers.

The A-S501 features a new analog loudness controller mounted on the front panel. It uses an electronic volume control for highest sound quality, so that the loudness effect can be adjusted as desired. This allows the balance between treble and bass to be influenced separately from the normal volume control. This provides the full tonal range, compensating for the natural loss of high and low frequencies at low volume.

4. Yamaha A-S701

Excellent sound and outstanding performance. An integrated amplifier with the advantages of digital inputs. Gold-plated connections allow a particularly high-quality connection without signal loss. The A-S701 has gold-plated connectors for speakers and inputs.

The quality of the individual parts and their interaction are decisive for the sound of each component. That is why Yamaha only uses high-quality components that are carefully selected and tested. The A-S701 guarantees excellent signal reproduction even under demanding conditions - the power transformer and blocking capacitors are specially designed, the loudspeaker relays have a direct signal path, plus single-point earthing and extruded aluminium heat exchangers.

The A-S701 has both an optical and a coaxial digital input. The optical input is for the TV sound, the coaxial input is for the sound of the Blu-ray player. The signal remains digital throughout, ensuring pure, dynamic sound from all sources - from sports and other television programmes to movies and concert recordings.

You can connect two separate speaker systems in different rooms and switch between them or operate both simultaneously. Four connectors are available so you can select the right pair of speakers for each source at the touch of a button.

10. Yamaha A-S301

Impressive sound quality with a variety of functions and an elegant appearance. An integrated amplifier with the advantages of digital inputs.

The quality of the
individual parts and their interaction are decisive for the sound of each component. That is why Yamaha only uses high-quality components that have been carefully selected and tested. The A-S301 guarantees excellent signal reproduction even under demanding conditions - the mains transformer and blocking capacitors are specially manufactured, the loudspeaker relays have a direct signal path, plus one-point earthing and extruded aluminium heat exchangers.

When Pure Direct mode is activated, the signal bypasses the circuits for bass and treble control, balance and amplifier buffers. This improves sound quality without compromising maximum output power. The shortening of the signal path increases the acoustic purity and enables the reproduction of even the finest musical nuances.

The ToP-ART concept (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) guarantees excellent sound in combination with the ART Base. Because only if both the processing and the transmission of the audio signals are designed simply and directly can the influence of noise and distortion be minimized. The Yamaha technology for this amplifier design is called ToP-ART. It consists of a fully symmetrical structure from input to output, whereby left and right channels are processed with the shortest possible signal paths. This guarantees outstanding sound with unadulterated clarity. The ART (Anti-Resonance and Tough) Base housing underside as well as the solid centre rail provide additional stability and damp vibrations. These design innovations from Yamaha also contribute to excellent audio reproduction with excellent musicality.
