These compact, sound-rich mini monitors have a frequency range of 45 Hz to a respectable 20,000 Hz. Of course, this is not an extremely high performance compared to other, larger monitors, but keep in mind that the sound is produced by a 0.75-inch tweeter and a 3-inch woofer, and it is completely linear.
The special bi-amped amplifier delivers 50 watts of power and has a peak output of 70 watts. This wattage, along with all the connections, is found in the left speaker, which you connect to the right monitor using a specially provided cable. This way, you have one active and one passive monitor. IK Multimedia has added a special Bluetooth module to the iLoud. Through this connection, you can wirelessly send your audio from your laptop, Macbook, tablet, or smartphone to the iLoud.
