Question about Brother MFC-L8390CDW
- Is online registration necessary to use the printer? - Is there a simple software (from Brother) for scanning via RJ-45 network or is this only possible via third-party software? - Does the printer need an internet connection for normal scanning and printing?

An online obligation and an online registration is not necessary to use the MFP, right?
(Unfortunately, I have already experienced this with several HP printers).
I connect the printer to my home wi-fi which permits printing, scanning & faxing from my Mac or i-phone. To allow this, I have installed from App-store on my MAC & I-phone i-print& scan as well as Mobile Connect, both for Brother product.
Also, on-line registration with wi-fi connection allows installation of software & updates.
With all this, it functions seamlessly.
