According to the Sony website, this battery is also compatible with the Sony ZV-1, which is missing from the list here. Should I use the original batteries or can I also use the batteries from third-party manufacturers?

If you want reliable and long-lasting batteries, I would recommend the original. You hear all kinds of things about cheap replicas. From "works great" to "has blown up and can't get it out of the camera".
