I feel that the level is very quiet. It's really usable.  It's also the first alarm clock that actually has a dark display (adjustable). Display brightness and alarm volume are top - sound is rubbish. If they had built in a 20 centime speaker instead of a 10 centime one, the sound quality would probably be bearable. But it could be enough for whispering.
