Question about Apple USB-C to SD Card Reader

Am I doing something wrong? Files that are dragged from the PC directly to the main directory of a formatted SD are not recognised. Photos (only jpg) and videos (only mp4) are only read if they are in the same subfolder in which the GoPro Hero7 or Mavic2 store their files. In my case DCIM/GOPR... Neither raw files nor png, nor avi, nor mov files are recognised. I would not call the overpriced part a card reader.

Unfortunately, we cannot answer this question because we have not been able to try it out in such a form. However, I'll put the question in the community, maybe a user can help you :-)
