Question about Mova E30 Ultra

As the Mova E30 does not have a cleaning dosing unit but does have the preparation for it, I bought one from the X40 which is supposed to be compatible with the E30 according to information on the internet. Nothing happens and there is no display in the Mova app. What can I do or why does it not work? Please help!
