Can I plug in the SSD I have installed in the PC and clone it to a new SSD and will the operating system also be cloned?

Hello B100_Tv. Yes, that's exactly how it works. When cloning, everything on the source SSD is cloned onto the target SSD. Note: I had the problem with Apple (MacBook) that only 1 TB (as with the source SSD) was available on my 2 TB target SSD after cloning. I could not use, format, delete or do anything else with the other 1TB. Probably because I did not format the target SSD. I then had to delete and reformat the whole SSD again! In this case, I could no longer use the Icy Box as a cloning machine, but only as a connection for the SSD! Alternatively, you can also get a simple SATA-USB adapter (e.g. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/startech-usb-31-050m-usb-kabel-10145308) and clone the installed hard disk to the new one with a program. There are various programmes like this available for download, some of which can be used as a test version for a few days free of charge.
