Can I use the adapter to operate a USB-C hub with HDMI, LAN, SD card slot and the Mac Book pro Retina? Many thanks in advance!

I use it so that I can connect a keyboard with USB to my Mac Book Pro Retina. I can't imagine that there are any restrictions. But for the price I would just give it a try.
