The battery can be replaced in any case, see the Quick Start Guide: https://download.brother.com/welcome...
I cannot currently find a type designation for the battery. Presumably it is a spare part and can be obtained from specialist dealers (Brother partners). Other sources (if type is correct): https://www.google.ch/url (For price orientation).
