Can the cup holder also be mounted at the front or does it have to be mounted on the side, as this is the only place where it can be attached?

Hoi - Per se or according to the manual, the fixing holes for the screws are on the side - look here: https://genesis-zone.com/product... - page 3.
However, if you or your "meteosphere" have a drill stand (including drilling material) and you can find threaded sleeves in the hardware store (for the appropriate screws, including glue if necessary), it should actually be "easy" for your customising.....
