Can the new IOS be installed on it? Since I want to use the iPod Touch for the DJI Mavic Air, the app "DJI Go 4" should run. Does anyone have experience of this working?

The 7th generation was launched in May 2019, according to MacTracker, and supported iOS 12.3.1.
The current iOS 13 is supported and very likely iOS 14 next year.

I can't say if the app will run on it.
