Can the scanner be used reliably under MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra) for slides/film strips? From other questions, I gather that the CD does not include the latest software. Epson Support/Download: No luck. I don't want to buy extra software.

I use it with my MacBook Pro, most recently on Big Sur. Epson's own software can be used as a basic scanner. For photos, there's currently a link to a special edition of Silverfast 8, as the software on the Epson CD doesn't currently run with Mac OS.

Hello, unfortunately I cannot answer this question, I work with my old pc and windows 7.
it works very well with the slides.
