Question about Gigaset PRO N610 IP DECT Base Station

Can you also connect a DECT handset such as the S850 HX to this PRO base, or do you have to buy PRO handsets even if you don't need all the PRO functions? I am looking for a base that supports public telephone directories such as search.ch via LDAP, but would like to continue using the existing handsets.

Problem from time to time: Timeout when negotiating audio compression with the remote station (according to information in Gigaset forums)
and thus the connection process was cancelled. This occurred with incoming and outgoing calls including forwarding with all non-per-hand sets, which gradually led to all their disposal. - Unfortunately - GIGASET support said: "Only use Pro with Pro". Overall GIGASET made a bad trap in this matter - too long story for this feedback. Now after the replacement = disposal of about 8 S850 HX and all non Pro Dect bases the disconnections have stopped.
