With the Amazon ECHO Show 8 (2nd Generation), advertising cannot be completely switched off if you do not have any additional subscriptions. The device will display adverts if you are happy with the free service. To avoid the adverts, you would have to use a subscription such as Amazon Music Unlimited or another paid subscription that offers ad-free content.
