You can switch on the device and use it with limited functionality until you have completed the setup on a smartphone or computer. Before setting up, you can only use the step count, automatic target and inactivity status. The device resets the step count once a day. The device attempts to reset the step count while you are sleeping. This is based on your inactivity level from the first day of use. Log data is only saved after the set-up has been completed.
