Do you have to enter the pin every time you start the PC or only when it is actually pulled out of the slot?

Yes, PIN is required at every restart or after standby. It seems to me that this is the right behaviour for data protection. Otherwise, an unattended computer with an unlocked flash drive would be easy prey for an information thief.

Yes, I can confirm that you have to re-enter the PIN every time when you restart the computer.
