Question about Atomos Ninja V
Do you necessarily need an ssd or can you continue to record onto the CF cards?

It needs at least a 2.5 ssd. With 1080, a normal HD is also sufficient, but can be a problem under certain circumstances because of the rotating parts. For the SSD you need a caddy, but there is one included. Atomos uses SSDs because the file size with the codecs is much larger.
