Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of the noise?

Dear Cadyllac
The noise is probably coming from the device where you are connecting the microphone. Not every mic preamp works noise free in high gain settings, this also affects some mixer input channels. A small utillity that might help you is a SEelectronics DM1 DYNAMITE, Mic Booster. You can get it for about 100.- e.g. at thomannmusic.ch.
Attention, the DM1 needs phantom power and no guarantee for improvement ;-)!

I also had noise with the Shure SM7B (connected to a GoXLR). After a lot of trial and error and watching YouTube videos, I got it working without a FedHead or a booster.

My solution that finally works noise-free is: GoXLR on a separate circuit (to avoid interference), Mic gain set to 63 DB, Mic on mixer set to 80-90%. Then, of course, adjust the gate and compressor.

Hope this could help you a little
