Vacuum mopping robot
Does anyone have this item at home and can report on their experience?
I am satisfied with the cleaning performance and we really have a lot of dirt, especially dog hair. The mop function also does its job surprisingly well. This is probably because the mop moves and thus actually wipes (scrubs) and doesn't just drag a damp cloth behind it, as happens with other devices. And the device is whisper quiet (compared to the Samsung I had before).
Disadvantages? Yes, there are some. With a self-emptying dirt bin, I would expect the robot to interrupt the cleaning process when the bin is full and empty its dirt bin at the station before continuing to vacuum. But it doesn't, i.e. it doesn't notice when the bin is full and just continues. The result is a brush matted with hair and dirt, and feather dusters lying around. In this state, the self-emptying function no longer works because everything is clogged. But the "intelligent" device does not notice this either. The brush must then be removed and cleaned manually, and the channel between the suction and the dust container must be unclogged. Ecovacs is obviously aware of this fact, as a tiny cleaning tool is included. However, I would prefer a full dust bin sensor.
Another thing about the camera: It actually works and you can control the robot through the flat via an app on the internet and watch it through the camera. But you can't do that while cleaning. So either clean or watch the camera.
Another criticism of Digitec: It would be nice if the consumables such as dust bags for the emptying station and mops could be ordered at the same time. I haven't found any suppliers for them yet.
Yes, I have for a fortnight. What do you want to know?
