Does anyone use the tripod fully extended with a load of approx. 8.5kg? On the manufacturer's page it says "Maximum load at full extension: 0.9kg" together with the "Max. I'm a little unsure if it will really hold an Amaran 200X with a large softbox, for example, if the arms are not completely vertical.

The specification is clear enough. Fully extended, you can add 0.9 kg and certainly not 8.5 kg. You have to imagine that. A wobbly lamp tripod extended to almost 4m and 8.5kg attached to it? Hardly.
