Does anyone use this printer/scannr with ios 11 (BigSur)? If so, is it complicated to scan and print? Do you always have to do it via the app?

I don't have exactly the same printer, but almost. Just install it and that's it.
Are you talking about iOS (mobile) or MacOS Big Sur (Mac)?
The Brother iPrint app works well on the mobile devices (mobile).
