The scanner works under macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, but with certain conditions: it must be connected directly via a USB-C to USB-C cable (like the one on the MacBook charger). Using the USB-C to USB-A cable supplied with a USB-A to USB-C adapter may prevent the scanner from being detected. In addition, the scanner can be used via Apple's built-in AirPrint service without installing Canon drivers, enabling compatibility with macOS Sonoma up to version 14.7.2. The scanner is added via the "Add a printer, scanner or fax" function in macOS.
