Does Signal actually work on the device? Can you update etc? Then, is it possible to uninstall the other pre-installed messengers (Whatsapp/Telegram)?

You can only install one of the three messengers at a time. This means that if you decide in favour of Signal, you will only have Signal. I have always used Whatsapp and had no problems with updates etc.
