Does the cable transmit HD audio (Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD MA etc..) to a receiver? Graka (DP) -> receiver (HDMI).

I have managed a connection from an HP service notebook....ehmmm... its docking station via direct Display Port output to the Full-HD TV Samsung with HDMI, including sound. My ears don't know whether the sound is Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD MA etc., as I don't have 5.1 on the TV either.

I can't answer the question because I had to return the cable. The connection between an HP service notebook via an HP intermediate adapter (USB-C - Displayport) did not succeed with my Full HD TV monitor (no picture, no sound).
