I haven't tried this connector yet, but it can't read all SD cards, although my laptop with a card reader can. I will return the thing.

As already mentioned, it works with the TF socket or you can use the SD adapter that you also received from SAMSUNG. The adapter was included with the purchase of the micro SD.

Yes, no problem. The appropriate slot is marked TF (TransFLash card) and can be found on the right-hand side of the picture. TF is another name for the Micro SD card.
