The head fits the MM290C4. You don't write which head you use on the Befree, but if the head was in the kit, there is a high probability that the plates are the same. How much sense it makes to switch frequently between 1-leg and 3-leg tripods probably depends on the camera system and especially personal preference/working/hobby technique. For me (and my areas of application), constantly changing and carrying two large tripods would be nothing.
