Does this monitor support from Displayport (Old laptop has no hdmi, usbc, ) to usb-c? If yes, and would i need to install any software or driver? Thanks.

Unfortunately that is not directly possible without an additional adapter like the Wacom Link (Plus). I'd recommend buying a portable monitor that supports a connection over USB Type-A like the ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC (15.60", 1920 x 1080 Pixels) for example. You will need to download the DisplayLink driver though.
