Does XIAOMI Smart Band 8 have GPS or not?
Various tests have criticised it for not having GPS, the manufacturer's website says it does... Here it also says it has.
In other words, can I run without my mobile and it records the route?

It has GPS, but not the most precise. Our editor has tested it, here is the report:
