External monitors via Display Port do not work. I have an HP Envy x360 14-fc0742nz, a Dell docking station and a Samsung and Dell monitor. The monitors are connected to the docking station via Display Port, I connect the HP via USB C. This setup actually works. All other laptops connected so far have confirmed this. Just not the Envy. I have not yet found out why. It recognises the connected monitors in the display settings. Nevertheless, they remain black and the display cannot be expanded. Have you had similar experiences? Does anyone have any tips for me?

Helpful answer
Yes, you can operate the HP Envy x360 14-fc0742nz with a Dell docking station and two monitors by connecting the docking station to the laptop via a USB-C cable. The monitors are then connected to the corresponding video output(s) of the docking station (e.g. HDMI or DisplayPort). It is important to check that the docking station supports the number of monitors required and that the cables are firmly attached.
Connection steps
Connect the laptop to the docking station: Connect the HP Envy x360 to the Dell Docking Station using a USB-C cable.
Connect the monitors to the docking station: Connect each of the two monitors to the respective video outputs of the docking station using an HDMI or DisplayPort cable.
Check power supply: Ensure that both the docking station and the monitors are connected to a power source and switched on.
System detection:
The system should automatically recognise the monitors. If not, check the cable connections and then go to the Windows display settings (right-click on the desktop > "Display settings") to recognise and configure the monitors.
Important notes
Compatibility:
Check that your Dell Docking Station and your HP Envy x360 support dual monitor connections, especially in terms of supported DisplayPort or HDMI versions.
Cables: Use high-quality cables that are suitable for the required resolution. Check that all cables are tight and not damaged, as this can lead to display problems.
Advanced configuration: In the Windows display settings, you can specify how the screens are to be arranged (e.g. as an extended desktop) and adjust the screen resolution.
