Question about Sigma 18-35mm, f/1.8 DC HSM ART, Sony A

for the Sony A7iii it would only be compatible with an adapter. Are there other lenses that have an E-mount (for the Sony A7iii) that are similarly good, or even better, and +- at the same price?

It should be noted that this Sigma lens is specifically designed for the Sony SLR cameras with A-mount and APS sensor. I use this for my Sony A77II. Here the focal length is 27 - 52.5 mm due to the extension factor of 1.5 and a consistently very high speed of F1.8. This lens also received the rating Super in the photo magazine test for the good image quality. Unfortunately, this Sigma lens with a continuous F1.8 speed is unique, i.e. there is no other zoom lens on the market with this speed and focal length as far as I know. As an alternative, you might consider a Sony lens with a focal length of 16 - 35 or 24 - 70 mm and E-mount, albeit with a lower speed of F2.8 throughout. However, these lenses are also a lot more expensive than the Sigma lens. Another possibility is to buy a fixed focal length lens for the wide-angle lens with a high speed, such as the excellent Zeiss Batis 25 mm with a speed of F 2.0 or the Sony 24 mm with a speed of F 1.4 (both with E-mount) etc.

I need a good film lens that shouldn't cost more than 1000. What do you think of the Tamaron 28-75mm?
Another possibility would be the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 with the Sony LA-EA3 adapter. Would there be any losses? would the Sony LA-EA4 be more suitable?
