Good day, does the dock also work on a Surface Pro 5 when using a USB to USB C adapter? If not, which functions are not available? Thank you.

The USB port on surface pro 5th gen supports only up to 5 Gbps while the type C one on surface pro 7 and the new devices supports up to 10 Gbps. I don't have a surface pro 5 to test what works, but I would recommend looking for a port that is designed for a 5 Gbps connection.
