Good day I received the device today and could not manage to pair it with Iphone8 via Bluetooth. Now I see in the instruction manual that max. IPhone 5s and older can be connected via Bluetooth. Surely that can't be? There was nothing about this on the website, rather the product is advertised as also being Bluetooth capable. But if this does not work with a newer IPhone, it is useless. Thank you for your feedback.

The pairing worked with my iPhone 8. However, it is not easy until you have clicked through the menu of the Sony CMT-X5CDB and found the right setting there (BT MENU > PAIRING > OK). Then the device should appear in the Bluetooth settings of the iPhone and you can select it. It took me several tries until it worked. See the operating instructions: Playing music via a BLUETOOTH connection.

I can pair my Pixel 3a XL without any problems. It should therefore definitely also work with newer Apple products.
