Question about Aqara HUB M2

Got the m2 hub. Got some P2 and DW-S02D sensors from a colleague. Unfortunately, they cannot be connected to the m2. Is there a cheaper option than buying a new m3 hub straight away? Would it be possible to plug the USB hub m100 into the m2, then connect the P2 and DW-S02D sensors to the m100 and then control them with the m2 hub? The few routines that can be configured in the m2 with the aqara app would be more than enough for me. All I want is for a message to be sent to my mobile when a door or window opens or movement is detected. I currently have two P1 motion detectors that reliably report movement to the mobile. However, I would like to integrate the other sensors I have received so that I can monitor more rooms, doors and windows etc. etc. I am grateful for any good tips

I have completely decommissioned the M2 and now only use HomeAssistant with a Zigbee dongle as a "hub". HA is very compatible and runs locally. However, you would have to check whether your devices can run safely on it.
I have no problems with the Aquara products and can also integrate any other manufacturer's sensors. Ikea, for example, has super cheap solutions.
So if you have a Raspberry or MiniPc lying around, I can highly recommend HA as an alternative.
