Has anyone ever tried out whether Linux can be installed on it and all the hardware works? A handy, light notebook with Lubuntu for 150 Stutz would actually be quite nice.
Evening :)
Works only conditionally...
Installation itself without problems (as soon as SafeBoot was deactivated, of course), but the sound no longer works - I haven't found a suitable audio driver either... In addition, the touch function and the screen rotation are a bit tricky. Most distros support manual, but unfortunately not automated rotation via sensor... TouchScreen works, but it is only a mouse - full stop. (With Windows, for example, it is recognised when you are on a web page, for example, and scrolls when you swipe up from the bottom, as with a smartphone/tablet, whereas on Linux only the text is highlighted, as if you were to make the same gesture with the mouse).
In summary: if sound is not important to you and you can live with manual rotation, it's certainly worth a try for the price.
