Question about FiiO X1 2nd gen
Has the search function / selection option been improved compared to the X5? Can songs, etc. be filtered alphabetically or is there even a search function?

I don't know the Fiio X5. With the Fiio X1 2nd gen, the media library has to be created first.
This takes a while.
Use the shortcut button, 3 horizontal lines (top left). Press it for 1-2 seconds. Select a letter or number. (with the scroll wheel and confirm with the OK button).
It searches for the first letter or number that starts the line (of the song or folder).
It lists all folders or songs that match the search.
Important: download and install the latest driver from Fiio.net. File=X1II.fw Version = 1.4.1

Basically, the lists are already sorted alphabetically in ascending order by album or title.
From this sorting, you can then filter by the first letter. However, you cannot search effectively.
