I have the error code 5100. I tried everything as described in the manual and searched for errors. Nothing. Is there any way to skip the error code so that I can at least still use the scan? The control panel is completely blocked.

My experience with Canon printers is that if there is an error, it is not possible to continue working without correcting the error. Have you tried YouTube videos? They often offer more help than the manual. Try searching for "tr8550 error code 5100". There's a whole series of videos on it, also in German. Good luck.
