You can also do this directly on the XP-7100 via the control panel. Both for copying and scanning. In each case via the automatic document feeder.

At Galaxus' request, I tried Scan->Computer->Select Computer->Save as PDF->2-sided->Save, starting from the printer screen. And it actually worked after a bit of trying. Not very obvious...
Finding the file was then the second task, but I was able to solve that too....
So the answer to "Can the 7100 do a duplex scan" is YES. Should also work for the other possibilities.

The XP-7100 was a device for a customer, so it is not in use with me!
I have an Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4595, which is probably similar.
When you open the "Epson Scan Window", you can select the following under "Document Source":
- Document glass
- ADF single-sided
- ADF double-sided --> your desired setting
- Automatic recognition
I can't help you with the operation directly from the printer; I never use these functions!

When using Epson Scan 2 on the PC, you can activate the Add/edit pages after scan check box. Unfortunately, I can't help you with the operation directly at the printer.
