Hello, can I connect the Akai MPK Mini directly to the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2?

No.
The Akai MPK Mini is a midi controller, i.e. the controller only passes on the touch impulses to a midi software or a midi sound generator (e.g. synth).
The Scarlett, on the other hand, is merely a USB sound card.
Both devices need a PC in between. But then they give a nice setup

The Focusrite is an audio interface for audio signals such as microphone, synthesizer etc. to process them with the computer. The Akai is a midi controller that does not produce audio itself, if I'm not mistaken, but only controls midi-capable instruments. The Focusrite does not process midi. Therefore, there is no point in connecting the two devices in any way.
