Pulse is the term used to describe the pulse waves that can be measured per minute on the arteries - usually on the wrist. They are caused by the movement of the blood, which is pressed against the artery walls with every heartbeat. As a rule, the pulse corresponds to the heart rate, i.e. the heartbeat per minute.
