Hello Digitec, do you actually read through such descriptions b4 you put them online? ... The mount is equipped with a patented rubber ball and socket system with a diameter of 1" RAM,.... Please what socket? ... without hiding your phone behind foam pads and plastic.... Um please what? etc. But yes fits into the quantity instead of quality time of today.... Greetings

Since I think the product is very good, I'll just take the trouble to answer you.
I assume that you wrote socket because the ball is inserted into a kind of bulge, i.e. something similar to a socket, so it is a socket in a way.
Since you clamp the phone in, it's not hidden behind some cover and is fully visible. You can use the rubber as extra security, but you don't have to and in the three years my X-Grip has been in use, I have never used it and never had any problems.
The product is high quality and I see nothing wrong with the description. I can only recommend it as it is a relatively inexpensive but still functional and high quality mobile phone holder.
