Question about Sony DualSense Edge

Hello I have a question I have been playing Destiny 2 on the PC for a long time with a ps5 scuf controller and it has never been a problem destiny 2 has always recognised the controller straight away, I have never used an additional program and it has always worked. Now I got the ps5 edge controller because my scuf is slowly worn out and had stick drift. Now I have the problem that the controller is recognised as an audio device and not as input. Destiny 2 doesn't react to the controller at all. I connected the controller with a cable. PC runs with windows 11. is the problem known or does the edge controller only run with an additional program? can someone help me. Many thanks.

The Sony Edge controller is unfortunately not supported on PC (yet) the same way the original PS5 Dualsense controller is. You can "basically" only use it on your PS5. Developers will have to provide separate support on Windows & Games for the Edge controller which they have not done yet. If you want to get the controller to work on PC you will need 3rd party software like DSX on Steam or DS4Windows which is free emulator software for PC for Sony controllers. Note however this software will come with limitations.. features like Adaptive Triggers will not work.
