Direct scan-to-USB stick is not possible. The machine does not have a slot for USB sticks or SD cards.
However, you can connect your computer to the printer via a USB cable (type B)/WLAN or LAN and scan.
Alternatively, scanning to a cloud is also possible.

My laptop does not get on very well with the printer. Scanning does not work or the scanner driver cannot be installed/started.
It works perfectly with my partner.

Without problems. I often use it like this. You can even set profiles for how you want to scan (resolution, file and single or double-sided).
