HutoPi Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit - 8GB version

Question about HutoPi Raspberry Pi 5 Starter Kit - 8GB version

Hello, is it a good solution to make a Seedbox as well as a Plex multimedia server (in function 24/24h with an external SSD) or do I have better time to put a little more money and buy a server like synology? Thank you for your help

Hello
I use it with Octoprint, Samba, etc. with boot on SSD NVMe Samsung 990 pro 2TB on the PCIe port in a Pironman5 case, perfect.
Works with Plex, and many other possibilities such as a NAS, Seedbox or Airplay server, Home Assistant.
See the Pironman site for compatibility with NVMe PCIe SSDs, they don't all fit, at first he was booting with a WD_BLACK SN770 NVMe SSD plus USB NVMe adapter because it wasn't PCIe compatible on the raspberry pi 5.
Configure sound output on HDMI output.
So to do the right thing and keep costs down, I bought a raspberry pi 5 8gb, an official raspberry 5A power supply and the Pironman5 case (China), the NVMe PCIe (HAT) adapter plus the button cell and the very efficient cooling system are supplied with the Pironman5.

You won't be happy.
The speaker of the seedbox has too little power.
@anonymous thank you for this very precise answer! Great, I didn't know about the Pironman5 housing. I think it's really cool to be able to assemble it myself.

I'd like to ask you one more question: do you know how much power the whole thing will consume (compared to a Synology server, for example) as I'll be running it 24/7? To find out if I risk getting a hefty bill

Thanks again and have a good evening
