Compatible, but notice that OLED is amazing for games and video. And I assume Macbook Air you are using for office work, and for this type of usage - OLED is simply worse than IPS.

It's mainly to be able to create a hybrid workplace that combines work (MacBook) and leisure (fixed PC).
