What exactly are you planning to do? The hub communicates with the Switchbot via Bluetooth and connects to your network via Wi-Fi. Control via Alexa or Google is possible (with the link via app) if you have something more complex in mind, you can also use the IFTTT service. The Zigbee protocol is not supported, e.g. the switchbots are not visible in the HUE app (HUB mode).

I'm afraid I can't answer that, I just wanted to let you know that there is now a new version of the Switchbt Hub, the Switchbot Hub 2 (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/switchbot-hub-2-smart-home-hub-25368055). Version 2 may be able to do a few more things. And switch lights on and off: There is a smart Ikea light bulb with a remote control. You could also screw this light bulb in somewhere and use the remote control at your office desk to switch it on and off (your wife can also switch "her" light bulb on and off). Thank you Grembo! The idea: combine the Smart Button with a Smart USB adapter. My wife and I both work from home. We can then use the button to switch a small USB LED on and off to signal to each other that we are on the phone.
