Hello Team Digitec. The Beyerdynamik DT 1990 Pro headphones have 250 ohm resistance. My audio interface NI Audio 6 has 25mW at 33 ohm output level. Can these two devices produce a clean sound image for mixing and mastering audio tracks? Can you help me? Greetings, Ralf

Helpful answer

I use the DT1990 Pro with an RME Fireface UCX with an output impedance of 30 ohms and it works wonderfully.

I'm not (yet) a total specialist in mixing and mastering with the DT1990s, although I have two of them and I think the headphones are really good. (I also have a DT 770)

I also use the NI Audio 6 interface twice and I would never buy it again. With both interfaces I have, for example, the left and right speakers/monitors are not addressed with the same power at the outputs, so that I often have 3-4 DB difference between the left and right monitor. It is horrible!

I also use the Fireface UCX, UC and the Motu AVB Ultralite. These are really great in terms of quality, although of course they are much more expensive. But an investment in a good audio interface is very worthwhile. With all my experience and the possibilities that are important to me, my tip is exactly the same as Peter's:

Fireface UCX and DT1990
